LED explosion-proof light is a kind of explosion-proof light. It is currently the most energy-saving explosion-proof light, which is widely used in the petrochemical industry, coal mines, power plants, gas stations and other places. LED explosion-proof lights have good energy-saving effects and good brightness. So what affects the life span of LED explosion-proof lights, and how can maintenance maximize benefits?
What affects the life span of LED explosion-proof lights
1. LED quality
In the manufacturing process of LED chips, other impurity ion pollution, lattice defects and other technological processes will affect their life.
2. Post-process encapsulation
Whether the process encapsulation of the LED light is reasonable will affect the life span of the LED. Experienced companies have patent protection for LED encapsulation. These companies have relatively high requirements for post-process encapsulation, and the life span of their LEDs is guaranteed. There are also some small companies that have more imitations of LED post-process encapsulation, which is okay from the appearance, but their process structure and process quality are poor, which seriously affects the life span of the LED.
3. Power supply
Whether the power supply of the light is reasonable will also affect its life span. Large fluctuations in power supply current or high frequency of power spikes will affect the life span of the LED light source. The design of the power supply is reasonable, and the components of the power supply are selected well, the life span of the LED explosion-proof light will be relatively increased.
4. Light design
The key to a reasonable light design is to dissipate the heat generated when the LED is lit. High-quality original LED products from large experienced companies are used in different lights, and the LED lifespan can vary several times or even dozens of times. For example, after some products use a low power tube of about 0.07 W, the light decays very quickly because there is no reasonable heat dissipation mechanism. There are also some integrated light source lights sold in the market (single 30 W, 50 W, 100 W). The light source of these products does not dissipate smoothly in the contact part of the heat dissipation channel. As a result, some products cause light decay of more than 50% after a few months. Therefore, when purchasing LED explosion-proof lights, you must choose an experienced manufacturer to do it.
5. Ambient temperature
The current short lifespan of LED lights is mainly due to the power supply, and the short life of the power supply is due to the electrolytic capacitor. Electrolytic capacitors must indicate the service life under the working environment temperature of how many degrees. Basically, it is specified as the service life at 105°C ambient temperature. The lower the ambient temperature, the longer the lifetime of the capacitor. Under normal circumstances, it is sufficient for ordinary LED lights with a nominal rating of 50,000 hours.
Daily maintenance of LED explosion-proof lights
We buy good quality LED explosion-proof light can be used for three or four years, but if we do not pay attention to the maintenance of the LED explosion-proof light, it can only be used for two years, which is equivalent to spending more money, then how to extend the lifespan of LED explosion-proof light.
1. Regularly clean up the dust and debris on the lights to ensure that the LED explosion-proof light has a good heat dissipation effect (if it is not cleaned for a long time, the dust adheres to the lights and blocks the heat emitted by the lights, causing the heat to not be dissipated.) Good to extend the life of LED lights.
2. Try not to work the lights uninterruptedly because the temperature of the lights will gradually heat up during uninterrupted work, the higher the temperature, the shorter the light lifespan.
3. Regularly check the voltage of the line. If the voltage is unstable, the line must be maintained and overhauled.
4. When LED explosion-proof lights work in an environment above 60 degrees for a long time, the light’s lifespan will be reduced by about two-thirds. Therefore, the ambient temperature of the LED explosion-proof light should not be higher than 60 degrees.
